Saturday afternoon I went out for a bike ride without my watch and cellphone. Along the Himmarshee Canal, behind Las Olas, I pulled up next to a young woman walking her Lab.
"Do you have the time?" I asked.
She hesitated, then asked with a puzzled expression: "Do I have the time? To do what?"
I had no answer.
