veterans' day

Just because you live in a condo doesn't mean you're not made aware of holidays. There are a few people in our building whose doors are decorated with a rotating array of paper pumpkins, cornucopia wreaths, pine wreaths, crimson hearts, colored egg wreaths, American flags. Coming home yesterday I saw taped to the neighbor's door, which is usually unadorned, a Xerox of his Honorable Discharge from the United States Navy, 1975.
