Last night Hania and I went out to dinner and on the way home stopped at Publix, where we lugged a bag of loose change we'd collected over the years, dumped it all into the coin conversion machine, and then, taking our receipt to the customer service counter, received bills that amounted to twice what we'd paid for dinner.
