Driving to a talk recently, at a venue I'd spoken at before, I mentioned to Hania that residents of a nearby nursing home are sometimes bussed over to help fill the seats. I told her that it is not unusual for a few of them to nod off during my presentation.
"Speak softly then," she said, "so you don't wake them up."
