Walking back from the gym this morning I heard a resident telling a man from the office that the leaves from the gumbo limbo tree that stood along the dock were "staining the boat like crazy." He was looking up at the offending arbre - a tall, many-limbed shade tree - with great disgust. I felt like going and getting him a rake.
