I'm wearing new glasses, not that anyone will notice. The frame is the same style I've been wearing since senior year of college (purchased after I saw the editor of the college newspaper sporting it). The company that made the frame, May, has been out of business for 15 years; I found this one in a New York City optician's about 10 years ago and kept it in a drawer for that time when I deemed the old frame (which was not the original) too dull. So if I seem a little more sparkly than usual, it's my glasses.

I sometimes think I should change the style (when this frame goes I will have no choice) but every month or so someone much younger than I compliments me on my glasses. And then, like Woody Allen, or Henry Kissinger, or Harry Caray, I think: You go, handsome.
