I was invited to a dinner last night at the Fort Lauderdale Yacht Club. Walking into the dining room to pick up my name tag, I recognized Charley from behind, and noticed that he was wearing his name tag on the back of his sportcoat.
"Football and baseball players wear their names on their backs," Charley explained when I asked him about the unusual placement.
Charley is 88. "I come here about once a month and have lunch with a bunch of men," he said. "We call ourselves the Out of the Loop Group. You have to be invited to join, and you come to two lunches. If you know too much you can't get in."
