quiet, please

Yesterday afternoon at the Broward main library, at the free concert sponsored by the Chopin Foundation, pianist Magdalena Baczewska ended the introduction to her first piece by quoting, in a fine Russian accent, something Vladimir Horowitz once said to the audience before sitting down to play a mazurka: "Now is something intimate. Shhh!"
