music in the park

Friday evening I drove down to Miami Beach for the Wallcast of the New World Symphony concert. Walking into the park I saw a large, very clear picture of the orchestra projected onto the east wall of the new Frank Gehry building. Hundreds of people sat in front of it, some on picnic blankets, some in lawn chairs, some on the curving benches of the park. There were a few children in attendance, as well as some dogs. A couple people straddled bicycles, having been waylaid by son et image on their evening rides. Almost everyone had a look of wondrous delight.

Because of the crowd, you didn't get the feeling of being shut out. In fact, the park seemed the place to be. Of course, there was the occasional police siren to spoil the effect of a movement, though often the sound - thanks to a system installed by the Japanese, a friend who works at the Japanese consulate told me - conquered the intrusions of normal, unexcited street traffic.

And the filming was delightful, giving us rotating, overhead views of the orchestra; close-ups of musicians - so we could see the intense concentration, the great physical effort - that beautiful sounds demand. Once the camera zoomed in on a page of sheet music. And we could see not only the gesticulations of conductor Michael Tilson Thomas but his expression as well (which often was one of immense contentment).

When the concert was over, there was no rush to the exits. Even though the night was chilly - 58 degrees according to the electric sign overlooking the park - people lingered among the newly planted palms - the raffish tops of the Delano, the National, the Sagamore visible through the fronds - and the abstract sculptures of this 21st Century village green.

I do consider all of the ideas you have presented
in your post. They are really convincing and
will definitely work. Nonetheless, the posts are very short for novices.
May you please extend them a little from subsequent
time? Thank you for the post.

Its like you read my thoughts! You appear to understand a lot approximately this,
like you wrote the book in it or something.
I believe that you simply could do with some % to pressure the message home a little bit, however instead of that,
this is wonderful blog. A great read. I’ll definitely
be back.

Whats up this is kinda of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you
have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding know-how so
I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
