chez javier

Last night I skirted the crowds around SW 2nd Street - where Irish bars are packed in like Starbucks - and headed over to SE 1st. Yes, it was St. Patrick's Day, but it was also Wednesday, which meant wine and tapas at Cafe Verdi.

The evening gatherings were started last year by Javier, a Peruvian writer who doubles as a suave and attentive waiter. The owners' son Eric cooks the phenomenal tapas, and friends come from as far away as Miami and Weston (representing, usually, a motley of countries). They sit on the terrace and talk, sip wine, listen to music, and keep a watchful eye out for the meter maid.

Cafe Verdi, like Cinema Paradiso, makes living in Fort Lauderdale tolerable.

When I arrived last night Javier immediately gave me his seat and went and got me a Sierra Nevada. (The beer list is another attraction.) Pulling up a chair, he asked me where I had been.

"Baltimore," I said.

"You know," he said, "Lima is the Baltimore of South America."

I don’t know whether it’s just me or if perhaps everyone else experiencing problems with your
site. It appears as if some of the written text within your posts are running off the screen.

Can someone else please comment and let me know if
this is happening to them as well? This might be a problem with my browser
because I’ve had this happen previously. Kudos

Unless you’re okay with your dog playing with your shoes and other things around your home, buy him
some toys. He will enjoy having things of his own, particularly if they are interactive like pull-toys you can
use together. Also buy him things he can use to occupy himself and stay out of trouble!

I leave a response each time I especially enjoy a post on a site or if I have something
to contribute to the discussion. Usually it is a result of the fire displayed in the
article I browsed. And after this post chez javier.

I was excited enough to drop a thought :-) I actually do have
a couple of questions for you if you usually do not mind.
Is it simply me or do some of these comments appear as if they are coming from
brain dead visitors? :-P And, if you are posting
on other places, I’d like to follow you. Would
you make a list the complete urls of your shared sites like your Facebook page,
twitter feed, or linkedin profile?
