Friends had been urging me to join Facebook and yesterday morning I finally did. Within an hour I received an e-mail.
"Hello from a Young Sexy girl!!!" it began. "I came across your profile and found it interesting. I hope you don't mind to get to know each other better."
The Young Sexy correspondent said she was from Russia, and "ready to travel abroad soon for working. Just don't know how to introduce myself." (Could have fooled me.)
She mentioned that sometimes she feels lonely, and would like to "find a man who will bring new emotions to my life." She said that if I wrote back she would send me her "different photos," and that her heart was already beating "so fast" in anticipation of this event.
The message didn't come through Facebook, and may be just a coincidence. But the timing was impeccable.
