@Trisha It can’t because Conde Nast still owns the name ‘Gourmet’. They probably could have sold the magazine, but they didn’t.

Well said. As I Tweeted, I never used even half the recipes in Gourmet, but I didn’t mind because it was always so well written and photographed and its ideas adaptable. Gourmet clearly loved its subject, and it showed.

Agreed. As a long time subscriber to both, I will dearly miss Gourmet. I have a stack of Traveler’s that I haven’t yet had time to read, but I always made time to devour Gourmet from cover to cover. My most fervent hope is that Gourmet will reincarnate under new, more appreciative, ownership.

Well said! Traveler is vapid and uninteresting. Gourmet was yummy. Once again mediocrity wins.
