Remember how the first closings and cancellations seemed like overreactions and then, as they grew in number, they struck us as obvious and unavoidable? I’m hoping the same will happen with openings.
The weekend Wall Street Journal had some nice pro and con features: video calls, getting dressed for work while working at home, and working at home. This last one was debated by a dog and a cat. The canine was for it, the feline against. “On behalf of cats everywhere, I’ll just say it: We want everyone out of the house … Sheltering in place? That’s a cat’s job.”
I don't like video calls because they reveal my facial expressions. I don't like masks because they conceal them.
A friend posted on Facebook a picture of himself giving blood. My first thought was: What a mensch. My second thought (sorry) was: Did he give blood so he could take a picture of himself giving blood? This is the problem with Good Samaritan selfies.
