After reading Matt Bai's article in the New York Times Magazine about the Miami Herald's ignoble and self-serving stakeout of presidential candidate Gary Hart's house in 1987, I am sorry that the Herald building on Biscayne Bay was not saved as a monument to the excesses of the Fourth Estate.
