two cartoons

The Spectator also had a wonderful cartoon about the writing life.

My favorite cartoon of this type appeared years ago in The New Yorker. It showed a man being cornered at a party by another man who says, "A writer? Fantastic! I wish I had time to write." I loved the double putdown, that writing is something anyone can do, and that you do it only after you've gotten more important things out of the way.

The cartoon in The Spectator had a more contemporary theme. It showed a homeless man sitting on the sidewalk with a cup and a sign that read "Meet the Author."

(I'm off to California, returning here on June 25.)

Thanks for every other wonderful post. Where else may just anyone get that type of info in such an ideal method of writing?
I have a presentation next week, and I’m at the look for such information.
