...the rain (Saturday). The wind (yesterday and today). My cold, which, out of a sense of solidarity, is still hanging around. The fact that no one anywhere else in the country feels the least bit of sympathy for us.

But it's not all gloom. At Cinema Paradiso on Saturday night the crowd looked unusually intellectual (the result of people exchanging T-shirts for scarves). There has been a great outpouring of concern for iguanas, an animal usually seen as a pest, or a horror, but which fills our days with images of prehistory. And of course we're going to appreciate our balmy weather like never before as soon as winter is over on Thursday.

Hey Tom,
We were at Paradiso on Saturday night as well. We went to see the new Gilliam movie at 11:30. It was a very cold walk over. The seats are very nice, although I think mine belonged to someone else...
