Waiting outside a convenience store off Alligator Alley on Thursday I watched a young couple get out of their car and head toward the entrance. He was yapping on his cell phone and she was texting on her BlackBerry.
And I thought: Modern technology is ideal for modern romance, for it allows people who don't have much to talk about to communicate with their real soul mates while still being together.
